The Oaksure Story
Home About The Oaksure Story
Our founders are born and bred Londoner’s who are passionate about ensuring that buildings are put to socially beneficial use instead of being left empty and unoccupied. In the years following the financial crisis of 2007-08 there were an increased number of vacant buildings. This was accompanied with increased unemployment and high residential rental prices, creating a difficult environment for many economically challenged people to live in London.
Oaksure was founded to create social value from vacant properties and to make socially beneficial solutions the standard approach for managing vacant property
Oaksure was founded to create social value from vacant properties and to make socially beneficial solutions the standard approach for managing vacant property. We began with the aim of being the best provider of live-in guardian services both from the perspective of our clients and our live-in guardians.
We started out just a two-man band operating in London and over the past 9 years have expanded to have National reach, protecting properties from Gateshead to Brighton and from Watford to Cornwall. We have worked for many of the most prestigious private landlords in the UK such as William Pears Group, Motcombe Estates, JP Morgan Real Estate, Pearl & Coutts and Berkeley Homes as well as many smaller developers and investment landlords, three local authorities (Ealing Council, Brighton Council and Tower Hamlets) and three major Housing Associations. In 2015 we won the Royal Bank of Scotland / Evening Standard small business award.
Our clients have made savings in excess of £22,000,000 due to our vacant property solutions, when compared with the alternatives. We have provided low-cost accommodation to more than 2,500 people and supported charities to thrive by providing them space at peppercorn rents and a comprehensive property maintenance and management service.

Awareness of our ecological impact has been central to the design of our processes right from the start. All of the utilities we are responsible for are supplied by 100% renewable sources, our waste removal suppliers are zero to landfill and we reuse and recycle as much material as possible. We install timers on lights and heating facilities and install water limiters on toilets to reduce consumption. We are now moving to use only electric vehicles.
In 2021 we have proudly welcomed into our leadership team several veterans in the property services industry who have joined us following senior management positions at some of the leading property services firms.
Our aim continues to be the best in vacant property management, to add social value wherever there is vacant property and to make socially responsible vacant property management the standard solution for unoccupied property in the UK.
