Charitable Rate Relief

We create savings in empty business rates by placing charities in temporary occupation. Charities get statutory 80% relief in business rates. This can be upgraded to 100% at the discretion of the local authority.

The occupation remains flexible so that when a new tenant or purchaser is found the charity vacates with only 20 or 40 working days notice. We manage the entire process on our client’s behalf; from writing the application to collecting any rebate that is due.
